On January 8th 2017, Vaikunda Ekadasi was celebrated in a grand manner at Alathurai Sri Venugopalaswami Temple. On this occasion, Sri Perumal with His Consorts had beautiful alangaram followed by Thiruveethi Purappadu. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Utsavam to have dharshan of Divyadampathis and received the blessings.
