The 10-day Thiruvadipoora Utsavam is being celebrated grandly for Sri Sengamala Thayar at Mannargudi Sri Rajagopalaswamy Temple. Today, July 22, 2017, Day 4 of the utsavam was celebrated well with Sri Sengamala Thayar blessing Her devotees on Velli Simaha vahanam and Sri Rajagopalaswamy as Vaikuntanathan on Thanga Garuda Vahanam. After a pradakshanam around Perumal, Thayar and Perumal had purappadu together on their respective vahanams. Several devotees witnessed this unique procession and received the blessings of the Divya Dampathis.
The Utsavam commenced on July 19, 2017 with Dwajarohanam. On the previous day, Mritsangraham and Senai Mudalvar purappadu took place. On Day 1, Thayar had purappadu on Velli Tholukkiniyan. On Day 2, Sri Sengamala Thayar had purappdu on Velli Pallakku in the morning and Hamsa Vahanam in the evening. On the third day, Thayar blessed devotees on Sesha Vahanam in the evening.
