On 31 July 2017, Sri Hevilambi Varusham Aadi Swathi; Garuda Azhwar Janma Thirunakshatram was celebrated grandly at Sri Bhakthavatsala Perumal Temple, Thirukkannamangai. In the morning, very special Thirumanjanam was conducted in grand manner for four hours from 11a.m to 3 p.m and Garuda Sahasranama Archana was done at the Thirukannamangai Divya Desam. In the evening, Sri Bakthavathsala Perumal Thiruveedhi purappadu took place in “ Thanga Garuda Vahanam”. A lot of Bhaagavathas from nearby villages had darshan on Garuda Sevai. Several astikas also took part in the Aadi Swathi Thirumanjanam and had the blessings of Divya Dampathis.
108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் ஒன்றான ” திருக்கண்ணமங்கை” திவ்ய தேசத்தில் நேற்று ஸ்ரீ ஹேவிளம்பி வருஷம் ஆடி மாதம் 15 ந் தேதி 31.07.2017 திங்கட்கிழமை ஆடி ஸ்வாதி ” ஸ்ரீ பக்ஷிராஜன் ” ஜன்ம நக்ஷத்ரத்தை முன்னிட்டு காலை 11 மணிக்கு ஆரம்பித்து 3 மணி வரை விஸ்தார திருமஞ்சனம் நடைபெற்று, (திருமஞ்சனத்தின் போது ஏராளமான திருமஞ்சன த்ரவ்யங்கள் திருமஞ்சனம் செய்விக்கப்பட்டது), ” பப்ளி” எனப்படும் கட்டம் போட்ட புடவை சாற்றப்பட்டு, வெள்ளிக் கவசம், புஷ்ப அலங்காரம் செய்விக்கப்பட்டு ” கருட சகஸ்ர நாம” அர்ச்சனை சேவிக்கப்பட்டு வெகு விமரிசையாக ” பக்ஷிராஜன்” திருநக்ஷத்ரம் கொண்டாடப் பட்டது. இரவு ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலப் பெருமாள் “தங்க கருட” வாகனத்தில் திருவீதி புறப்பாடு கண்டருளினார். ஏராளமான பக்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு தரிசித்து ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலப் பெருமாள், ஸ்ரீ பக்ஷிராஜனின் அருளைப் பெற்றனர்.
