In this Hevilambi Varusham, the annual Jyeshtabhishekam or Periya Thirumanjanam at Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal Devasthanam, (Perumpurakkadal (Moolavar)) Thirukkannamangai, took place on 18th of Aadi month; Aug 3rd , 2017 (Thursday) in a grand manner. This is a special feature as this thirumanjanam for the moolava moorthy takes place only once in a year.
The moolavar, known as ‘Perumpurakadal’, is 16 feet tall with broad and beautiful Thirumeni. At 8 am, the yagasalai was initiated. Theertham (water) was brought in ghatams (pots) from the sacred “Darsana Pushkarni”, which is considered to be more auspicious than River Ganga. The Periya Thirumanjanam was held between 11.30 am and 5.30 pm. The Thirumanjanam took place with about 5liters of Sandhanadhi Thailam, 5,000 liters of oil, 1,00,000 liters of milk, 2,500 liters of curd, yelaneer from 1,008 coconuts, 108 kg Jala dravya powders, 108 kg of turmeric powder, 108 kg sandalpaste and other thirumanjana dravyams, 1,008 kalasa (sakasra kalatabhishekam) abhishekam, followed by maha purnahuti, Ghataproksanam and Satrumurai. Before this All Thirumanchana Dhravyams were taken processesion by the devotees in the inner Prakaram of the Temple.
In the evening, special Puspa alankaram was adorned by Moolava moorthy as well as usavamoorthy. Sahasranama archanai was performed by the Bhattar swami. Thereafter, Sri Bhaktavatsalan (utsavamoorthy) with special pushpalankaram had procession on the “Golden Garuda” vahanam at 10:30 pm. Thousands of devotees participated in the grand Periya thirumanjanam and the evening garuda sevai and got the blessings of Sri Bhaktasvatsala Perumal at Thirukannamangai.
திருவாரூர் மாவட்டம், திருக்கண்ணமங்கை ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலப் பெருமாள் கோவிலில் 16 அடி உயரம் பரந்த திருமேனியுடன் ஆஜானுபாகுவாக ஸ்ரீதேவி, பூமிதேவியுடன் எழுந்தருளியுள்ள பெரும்புறக்கடல் என் அழைக்கப்படும் மூலவருக்கு வெகு விமரிசையாக வருடம் ஒரு முறை நடைபெறும் ஜ்யேஷ்டாபிஷேகம் நேற்று ஸ்ரீ ஹேவிளம்பி வருஷம் ஆடி மாதம் 18ந் தேதி வியாழக்கிழமை நடைபெற்றது.
காலை 8 மணிக்கு யாகசாலை ஆரம்பித்து கங்கயினும் புனிதமான “தர்ஸன புஷ்கரிணி” யிலிருந்து தீர்த்தம் கடம் புறப்பாடாகி, 11.30 மணிக்கு திருமஞ்சனம் ஆரம்பித்து மாலை 5.30 மணி வரை திருமஞ்சனம் நடைபெற்றது. முன்னதாக அனைத்து திருமஞ்சன த்ரவ்யங்களும் வந்திருந்த அனைத்து சேவார்த்திகளால் கோயிலின் ப்ரகாரத்தில் மேளதாள, குடை, சாமர மர்யாதைகளுடன் ஊர்வலமாக எடுத்து வரப்பட்ட்து.
சுமார் 5லி சந்தனாதி தைலம், 5,000 லி எண்ணெய், 1,00,000 லி பால், 2500 லி தயிர், 1008 இளநீர், 108 kg ஜல திரவியப்பொடி, 108 kg மஞ்சள் பொடி, 108 kg சந்தனம் மற்றும் அனைத்து திருமஞ்சன திரவியங்களுடன் திருமஞ்சனம் நடந்து, 1008 கலச (ஸகஸ்ர கலசாபிஷேகம்) திருமஞ்சனம் ஆகி, மஹா பூர்ணாஹூதி ஆகி கடப் புறப்பாடு ஆகி கடப்ரோக்ஷணம் நடந்து திருமஞ்சனம் முடிந்து, சாற்றுமுறை, தீர்த்த கோஷ்டியுடன் மஹா திருமஞ்சனம் நடந்தேறியது. வந்திருந்த ஆயிரக்கணக்கான சேவார்த்திகளுக்கும் உட்காரவைத்து ப்ரசாத விநியோகம் செய்யப்பட்ட்து.
மாலை விசேஷ புஷ்ப அலங்காரம், 16 அடி உயரம் கொண்ட ஸ்ரீ பெரிய பெருமாளுக்கு விசேஷமான புஷ்ப அங்கி, திண்டு மாலைகள் சாற்றப் பட்டு, ஸகஸ்ரநாம அர்ச்சனை நடத்தப் பட்டு இரவு சுமார் 10.30 மணிக்கு ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலன் ” தங்க கருட” வாகனத்தில், விசேஷ புஷ்ப அலங்காரத்துடன் திருவீதிப் புறப்பாடு கண்டருளினார். ஆயிரக்கணக்கான சேவார்த்திகள் திருமஞ்சனத்திலும், புறப்பாட்டிலும் பங்கு கொண்டு சேவித்து எல்லாம் வல்ல ஸ்ரீ அபிஷேகவல்லி நாயிகா ஸமேத ஸ்ரீ பக்தவத்ஸலனின் அருளைப் பெற்றனர்.
