The three-day annual Pavithrotsavam started off on a grand note at Sri Padmavathi thayar temple at Thiruchanoor on September 4, 2017 and concluded on September 6, 2017 with maha purnahuthi. During the utsavam, after performing snapana thirumanjanam to Padmavathi thayar, the pavitra samarpanai was performed. On the final day, visesha thirumanjanam and theerthavari were performed with several astikas taking part in the utsavam to receive the blessings of Sri Padmavathi Thayar.
