Sri Hayagreeva Jayanthi was celebrated grandly at Pon Villaidha Kalathur Temple on the 4th of September 2017 (Hevilambi Avani Thiruvonam). On this occasion, Vishwaroop dharshanam was followed by Hayagreevar moolavar and utsavar thiumanjanam and subsequently theertham prasadam and distribution of note books and pens to students including those of class X, XI and XII.
Pon Villaida Kalathur or PV Kalathur village is situated about 9 km from Chengleput of Kanchipuram District, where the temple of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is located which is more than 900 years old. Swami Desikan had stayed in this village for a night. Various utsavams are being celebrated regularly at this temple. Srimath Andavan and Srimath Azhagiyasingars of the past have visited this temple.
