On October 28 and 29, 2017 (Hevilambi Aippasi Thiruvonam and Avittam), the varusha thirunakshatram of the first two azhwars took place grandly at Sri Vedanta Desikar Devasthanam (SVDD), Mylapore. On Thiruvonam day, thiruveedhi purapadu took place for Sri Srinivasa Perumal, Swami Desikan, Swami Poigai Azhwar on a grand note. Perumal adorned beautiful thiruvabharanams and and fresh flower garlands. After thiruveedhi purapadu, Sevakalam and satumurai took place.
On October 29, 2017, Swami Boodathazhwar avatara mahotsavam was celebrated well with Sri Srinivasa Perumal and Boodathazhwar thiruveedhi purapadu Mylapore. Lots of astikas and kainkaryapaaras took part in the mahotsavam on both days and receive the blessings of Sri Srinivasa Perumal, Swami Desikan and Azhwars.
