As a part of ongoing Panguni Brahmotsavam, the sixth day of Panguni Utsavam was celebrated auspiciously on March 25, 2018 Hevilambi Varusham panguni 11 in Sri Vanamamalai Perumal Temple in Nanguneri. On that evening, Perumal was decorated with beautiful garlands and Thiruveedhi Purappadu was performed on a ‘Gaja Vaahanam’.

Adisesha undertook penance here and hence this place came to be called ‘Naaganai’ Cheri. As the huge lake around the temple was split into 4 canals, this place was referred to as ‘Nangu’ ‘Eri’. Day 3 of the Utsavam was celebrated on 22nd March 2018. In the Morning, Perumal was decorated beautifully with jewels and dressed up with blue color Vashthram and had Thiruveethi Purappadu. In the Evening, Perumal had Purappadu on Hanumantha Vahanam.

The 4th Day of the Panguni Brahmotsavam (23.03.2018) was started with Thirumanjana Seva. In the Evening, Perumal and his consort were dressed up with Yellow color Vashthiram and had Purappadu on Aalum Pallakku. He gave scintillating darshan to the devotees.

Day 5 of the Utsavam was celebrated grandly in 24th March 2018. In the Morning, Perumal had Alangaram followed by Thiruveedhi Purappadu. In the Evening, Perumal had Purappadu on Garuda vahanam. Several Astikas Participated in the Panguni Brahmotsavam and had the blessings of the Perumal.
