Ayanavaram Sri Kariyamanika Perumal Temple Panguni Brahmotsavam: Day 1-4

As a part of ongoing Panguni Brahmotsavam in Sri Kariyamanika Perumal temple at Ayanavaram, the 4th day of Brahmotsavam took place on 5th April 2018(Panguni-Kettai). For the morning procession, Sri Perumal had nice alangaram in yellow vasthram decorated with flowers and Jasmine garlands along with jewels. Then in the evening the Purappadu took place on a Yaali Vahanam.

Earlier on 4th April (Panguni-Anusham), the third day of Brahmotsavam was celebrated. On that sunny day, the purappadu was done on roaring simha vaahanam with nice alangaram. Perumal looked charming with beautiful golden armlets and other jewels along with garlands around his neck and shoulders. Then the evening purappadu took place for Perumal on the great and majestic Hanumantha vaahnam. For that purappadu, Perumal wore purple silk vasthram and many devotees received his blessings.

On the second day (Panguni-Visakam), Sri perumal with his consorts dressed up nicely in red vasthrams. Then Purappadu took place on a Surya Prabhai Vaahanam. And the evening Purappadu took place on chandra Prabhai. For that event, Perumal with his consorts wore silky green and white colored vasthrams respectively.

The previous day event was the dhwajarohanam which indicates the beginning of Brahmotsavam. In the evening, Perumal Purappadu was done after the beautiful alangaram. Sri Perumal was decorated auspiciously with Whitish red coloured vasthram with big jasmine and anemone garlands. After the alangaram session, Thiruveeedhi Purappadu took place on Hamsa Vaahanam.

Ankurarpanam for Brahmotsavam was performed on April 1, 2018(Hevilambi Panguni-Chithirai) in the evening Sri Kariyamanika Perumal with His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoodevi had beautiful alangaram along with Visvaksenar. Ankurarpanam was performed followed by Thiruveethi Purappadu.
