Sri Adhikesava Perumal

As a part of ongoing Panguni Brahmotsavam, the 3rd day of the utsavam was celebrated at Sri Adhikesava Perumal Temple on 4th April 2018 (Hevilambi Visakam). In the morning, Perumal was dressed up with white and blue vasthram. He was decorated with flower garlands and abharanams. After alangaram, Perumal had purappadu on Garuda vaahanam. Likewise, Peyazhwar had a great alangaram with long kaasu malai, several pendants and several wonderful garlands such as jasmine garland, dry fruits garland(dry grapes, badam, pista, cashewnut) and He wore orange silk vasthram. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda Parayana Ghosti. In the evening, Perumal had Thiruveethi purappadu on Hamsa vaahanam. He gave scintillating darshan to the devotees on white vasthram (like the Hamsam) and He had pearl fixed beautiful crown. Several astikas participated in the Brahmotsavam and had the blessings of Sri Adhikesava Perumal.

The 2nd day of Brahmotsavam was celebrated on 3rd April 2018 (Hevilambi Swathi). In the morning, Perumal was dressed up with green vasthram and His consorts wore light green silk sarees.  They were decorated with flower garlands and abharanams. Then purappadu took place on a Sesha vaahanam. In the evening Purappadu had purappadu on simha vaahanam.  On the previous day 2nd April 2018 (Hevilambi chithirai), the 1st day of the Brahmotsavam was celebrated well. In the morning, Perumal and His consorts had great alangaram with flower garlands and ornaments. Perumal was decorated auspiciously in yellow pattu vasthram. After alangaram,  DivyaDampathis had mangalagiri purappadu.

Mylapore is the avatharastlam of Peyazhwar. Peyazhwar was also decorated beautifully with pink color vasthram and had purappadu on palanquin. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda Parayana Ghosti. In the evening Perumal had Thiruveethi purappadu on punnaimara vahanam. He gave scintillating darshan to the devotees on blue and green color vasthram and He had feathers on His head. Several astikas participated in the Brahmotsavam and had the blessings of Sri Adhikesava Perumal.
