Thirunangur Sri VanPurushothama Perumal Temple Hevilambi Panguni Brahmotsavam: Day 3 to 5

As a part of Panguni Brahmotsavam, the 5th day was celebrated on 6th April 2018 (Hevilambi Panguni Kaetai) at Sri VanPurushothama Perumal Temple, Thirunangur. In the morning Perumal wore blue color silk vasthram with pink color border and He was decorated beautifully with flower garlands. Then He had purappadu on Hanumantha vaahanam. He had bow and arrow in His hand and gave darshan to the devotees as Sri Ramar. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. In the evening event, Perumal had great alangaram with several flowers and abharanams. Two green parrots perched on Perumal’s shoulders. After alangaram Perumal had purappadu on Hamsa vaahanam and He had veenai in His hand.

On the previous day, (5th April 2018; Anusham), the 4th day of the Brahmotsavam was celebrated. In the morning Perumal had Yoga Narasimmar Thirukolam. He was dressed in a green vastram with colourful designs and was decorated with Kaasu Maalai, Thattai Padhakkam and jasmine, rose and thulasi garlands. He had purappadu in a wooden palanquin (mena). In the evening, Perumal had purappadu on Garuda Vaahanam. On that occasion, He was decorated with an attractive white color vasthram and jasmine flowers.

On Day 3 of the utsavam, (4th April 2018;Visakam), Perumal was decorated beautifully as Venugopalan and blessed devotees on Kalpavriksha vaahanam. Perumal adorned the shanku and chakram on His two bhujams (hands) and held His flute with the other two bhujams. The golden Sesha was under the golden arch of the tree and Perumal had a cow and calf on His left side. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. In the evening, He was dressed in white pattu vasthram and had sesha vaahana purappadu. He gave darshanam in paramapathanathan Thirukolam during the Sesha vahana purappadu. This was followed by kaithala sevai where Perumal was taken on a small Kedayam by sri pada thangis.

Several astikas participated in the Panguni Brahmotsavam and received the blessings of Sri VanPurushothama Perumal.
