On 18th April 2018, Sri Vilambi Varusha Chithirai Karthikai; Akshaya Tritiya was celebrated in a grand manner at Kumbakonam. In the morning, Perumals from 12 temples in the temple town were taken in procession on Garuda Vahanam through the TSR Big Street (Periya Thiruveedi). This is an annual utsavam where thousands of devotees participate to receive blessings of all the Perumals at the same place and time.
