On 11th May 2018 (SriVilambi chithirai Pooratathi), the kadaivelli (last friday of the Chithirai month) purappadu for Sri Perundevi Thayar took place in a grand manner at Kanchi Sri Varadaraja perumal Temple. In the evening, Thayar had a beautiful alangaram with ornaments like pendants, chains and flower garlands of kanakambaram and jasmine. She wore white saree with green border. A stone studded parrot perched on Her right shoulder. Significantly, devotees could have darshan of Thayar’s lotus feet (thiruvadi). Thayar had thiruveethi purappadu and gave scintillating darshan to the astikas. Hunderds of devotees participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Sri Perundevi Thayar.
