On 13th May 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Revathy), the Vasantha Utsavam commenced in a grand manner at Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Kanchipuram. On the occasion, Perumal was dressed up with violet vasthram and His consorts wore orange sarees. Perumal was adorned with several pendants, chains and a beautiful golden crown. Ubhayanachiyars were decorated with several flower garlands of rose, jasmine and ornaments. After alangaram, Perumal along with His consorts had thiruveethi purappadu. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with Veda parayana ghosti. Several astikas participated in the Vasantha Utsavam and had the blessings of Sri Varadaraja Perumal.
