As a part of the Vaikasi Brahmotsavam, Day 4 was celebrated grandly on 1st June 2018 (Vaikasi Kettai) at Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Kanchipuram. In the morning, Sri DevaPerumal and His consorts, in Paramapadanathan thirukolam, had purappadu on Sesha vahanam. After the purappadu, Perumal and Nachiyars had Ekantha Sevai in sky blue silk vasthram.
In the evening , Sri Devaperumal and Ubhayanachiyars had purappadu in Chandra prabhai. For the purappadu, Perumal wore white silk vasthram and were decorated beautifully with several ornaments and flower garlands. Many devotees participated in the Vaikasi Brahmotsavam and received the blessings of Sri Devaperumal.

I think these days all are converting to yellow srichurnam. At this rate there won’t be any of us in vadagalai wearing the old red kumkuvam…not sure why!
