On 11th August 2018 (SriVilambi Aadi Magam), the 7th day of the Thiruadipoora Utsavam was celebrated well at Sri Vidhyarajagopala Swamy Temple, Mannargudi. In the morning Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar wore a good combination of sky blue and orange silk vasthram. She was decorated beautifully with long kaasu malai, several pendants, chains, maanga malai and tricolor flower garlands of kanakambaram, jasmine, thulasi. Two golden parrots perched on Thayar’s shoulders. Soornotsavam (nel alathal) was performed in the evening. Later in the night Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar was taken into the Pushpa pallaku and had Thiruveedhi purappadu. Pushpa pallaku was decorated with several flowers. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti.
Earlier on 9th August 2018 (SriVilambi Aadi poosam), the 5th day was celebrated well. Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar wore pink and violet silk vastram and had an eye pleasing alankaram with huge flowers garlands. She adorned kaasu malai, several pendants, pavala mani and chains. After alankaram, She ascended on Kamala vaahanam. Elephants stood on Her both sides ready to serve Her. She gave scintillating darshan to the astikas.
Several astikas participated and had the blessings of Sri Sengamalvalli Thayar during the utsavams.
