Thiruindalur,is one of the prominent Sthalam,as the curse of Chandran(Moon) was removed by Sriman Narayana.The Moolavar here is Sri Parimala Ranganathar,Goddess Sri Parimala Ranganayaki Thayar.
Moolavar in this temple is in kidandha kolam(sleeping pose) in Veerasayanam facing East.Other names of Perumal here are Sri SugandhaVananathan and Andhiya Rangan.Sri Ranganayaki Thayar is also known as Chandra Sabha vimochanavalli and Pundarigavalli.
