Day- 7: Brahmotsavam:Night:Theruvadaichan poovangi sevai(Blocking the streets)
Brahmotsavam commenced on 12 September 2021,Sunday in Sri Devanathaswamy Temple at Thiruvaheendrapuram,near Cuddalore. Chitirai Brahmotsavam was postponed as per government rules due to pandemic situation and is celebrated currently.
During Purappadu; Sri Devanathaperumal was in SriDevanathaswa.Sri Devanathaperumal with His consorts,adorned with dresses made of flowers only(Poovangi).Purappadu took place in a grand manner,signifying the utsavam,by his procession which took place all over the temple premises.Goshti Sattrumurai during the utsavam was very vibrant.Many Asthikas participated in the utsavam and had the blessings of Divya Dampathigal.Poovangi Sevai pictures can be viewed below:
