Navarathri utsavam celebrations commenced on 06 October 2021 in a grand manner in Sri Kothandarama swamy temple at Madurantakam. Every day, Thirumanjanam, Alankaram , Aradhanam and Sattrumurai was performed enthusiastically. Alankaram was beautifully performed with tri-colour combinations of pushpam and abharanams. Perumal and Thayar were in silk vastram with flowers of different colours and thiruvabharanams and different types of Kondai which added to the beauty.
Avatara utsavam, navarathri utsavam also coincides, Vishesha alankaram was performed for all deities and for Swamy desikan also. Every day,due to government restrictions, all celebrations were performed in Asthanam, blessing Swami Desikan during his avatara utsavam celebrations. The assembled devotees had the blessings of Divya dampathis and Swami Desikan
