Sthala Puranam: Before 500 years, Narasimhaswamy was very furious. Sri Lakshmi Varahaperumal was installed in the temple in front, in line of sight of Narasimhaswamy. Before 500 years, everyday, Raw husks would be kept in front of garbha gruha, before opening the doors for pooja in the morning. Invariably, husks would be burnt into ashes. Even now, before opening the doors of Lord Narasimhar, doors of garbha gruha of Sri Lakshmi Varahaperumal is opened, so that, his very first sight falls on Sri lakshmi varahar, thus reducing his anger and making him shantam.
