Sri Peyazhwar Avathara Utsavam commenced on 04 Nov 2021,Thursday, in Sri Adhikesava Perumal, Peyazhwar Devasthanam at Mylapore. Avatara utsavam is planned to be celebrated for ten days till 13 November 2021.
On day-9 morning: (12 november 2021) Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri peyazhwar. Peyazhwar was adorned with silk garments and thiruvabharanams and he was seated in Thiruther and blessed the devotees. Thiruther was decorated beautifully with tonnes of flower garlands.
In the evening, Purappadu(Tholukkiniyan) took place inside the temple premises. Azhwar was adorned beautifully with muthu kireedom. Garland with sampanki and red rose flowers looked wonderful. Purappadu along with Goshti looked enthralling.
