On 18 November 2021, Plava varusha, Karthikai -02, Thursday, Bharani Nakshatram; Thirukarthikai Deepam (Sarvalaya Deepam) was celebrated in a grand manner in Sri Vanamamalai thotadrinathaPerumal temple at Vanamamalai.
Thirumanjanam , Alankaram, Vishesha Aradhanam, Vishesha Sattrumurai was performed in the evening. Many lit earthen lamps and Bronze Kuthu Vilakku were decorated in the Sannidhi during the festival. The festival in the temple is celebrated by the grace of perumal in His presence and under the guidance and augment presence of HH-Vanamamalai Jeer Swami.
Bunch of Dried palm leaves were tied and was lit by fire, which is generally an event which is practised in all the temples during this festival. Perumal came in procession and graced the event and devotees got the blessings of Perumal on festive occasion.
