On 18 November 2021, Plava varusha, Karthikai -02, Thursday, Bharani Nakshatram; Thirukarthikai Deepam (Sarvalaya Deepam) was celebrated in a grand manner in Sri SourirajaPerumal temple at Thirukkannapuram. Thirumanjanam , Alankaram, Vishesha Aradhanam, Vishesha Sattrumurai was performed in the evening. The dried Palm leaves were bundled and lit by fire during the festival in front of the temple, in the presence of Sri Perumal during His purappadu to witness this event.
