On 19 November 2021, Plava varusha, Karthikai -03, Friday; KarthikaiNakshatram; Thirukarthikai Deepam was celebrated in a grand manner in Sri Pahlada Varadan Perumal temple at Ahobilam.
Thirukarthikai Deepam Sokkappanai- dried hay stalk was bundled and lit by fire during the festival in front of the temple, in the presence of Sri Perumal during His purappadu to witness this event. Thirumanjanam, Alankaram was performed and Vishesha Aradhanam, Vishesha Sattrumurai was performed in the evening. Many lit earthen lamps were decorated in the all the places inside the temple premises during the festival.
