On 29 November 2021, Karthikai Brahmotsavam commenced in Sri Alarmelmangai Thayar Sannidhi. On 30 November 2021, in the morning, Dwajasthambam was decorated and arrangements were made for Dwajarohanam. Holy flag, painted with gaja figure on the flag was hoisted. As Gaja Vahanam is the Vahanam of Thayar, like Garudazhwar for Perumal, Gaja flag was hoisted, to signify or inviting everyone from all the lokas to attend the Brahmotsavam and get the blessings of Thayar. Dwajarohanam was performed with the gracious presence of Thayar. Deepa Harathi was performed and many devotees participated in the event and got the blessings of Thayar. This is rarest occasion among all the temples, where Thayar Brahmotsavam was celebrated.
