Rapathu Utsavam commenced on 14 December 2021 in SriRanganathaswami temple at Srirangam. Today, being the second day of Utsavam, Perumal came in procession from Moolasthanam in the noon, and alankaram was performed in thirumamani mandapam. Sriranganathar adorned green silk dhoti with chowrikondai, diamond Abhayahastham, Rathna ear kavacham, beautiful garland of Vrikshi, thulasi, sampanki and samandhi which added beauty to the sathupadi. At 5:00 p.m, in the evening, Araiyar Sevai took place, after which “Vellichamba neivedhyam” was done. Perumal reaches Moolasthanam in the night.
