Adhyayana utsavam is being celebrated in a very grand manner in Sri Amaruviappan Sannidhi at Therezhundur. Rapathu utsavam commenced from 13th January 2022 and would be celebrated till 22nd January 2022.
On 19 January 2022, 7th day of utsavam, Perumal was adorned as SriRanganatha Perumal. In the evening, Perumal Purappadu took place along with Acharyal. Felicitaion was done for all the Azhwars and Acharyal by Srisadari and Parivattam.
Thiruvaimozhi 7 th ten recited. Nammazhwar considers himself in Nayaki bhavam, sung the hymns about the sorrow faced by Nayaki to reach SriRenganthan. In 2nd set of ten, pasurams are scripted in such a way, as if girl’s mother is worried about the mindset of the girl, who is depressed from seperation from lord and that requesting Lord to take her daughter along with Him.(SriRanganathar). Amaruviappan appeared like SriRenganthan with the uniqueness of marks in top lips, kousthubham, senkole, Pandian Kondai, on Sesha Peedam, which looked enthralling.
On 20 January 2022, – Rapathu 8 th day:- Amaruviappan appeared like a king with the Chakravarthy kireedom, kshatriya attire, sword, as Nammazhwar visualises perumal as a king in 7th Pathu pasurams.
Thiruvaimozhi 8th ten were recited. In these pasurams, Nammalwar requests Sriman Narayanan to adopt him, and assign him some kainkaryam. He is quoting Perumal as a king, who has so much of work to perform and let the weapons be given to him, to be carried by him (Azhwar). He also questions Perumal, why Garudazhawar is given two identities like being a Vahanam as well as the flag and that one should have been given to him. Perumal purappadu took place in the evening inside the temple premises, along with Acharyal. Felicitaion was done for all the Azhwars and Acharyal by Srisadari and Parivattam.
