Rapathu Adhyayana utsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner in Sri Mayuravalli samedha Sri Adhikesava Perumal temple at Mylapore. Everyday, Alankaram was beautifully performed for Perumal along with his consorts, Sridevi, Bhoodevi and all the Azhwars. Vishesha alankaram, aradhanam were performed and recitation of Thiruvaimozhi took place by the Parayana Goshti in the augment presence of Perumal and azhwars were assembled under the leadership of Nammazhwar. All the Azhwars were felicitated by maalai mariyadhai and SriSadari.
On 22 january 2022, tenth day, Vishesha Sattrumurai took place and Nammazhwar thiruvadi thozhal took place. Nammazhwar from 8th pathu, request Perumal to assign him some kainkaryam as well as to allow him to attain His Lotus feet.
On tenth day of Rapathu utsavam, Nammazhwar surrenders at the feet of lord and reaches SriVaikuntam. The disciples and other astikas who cannot accept his separation and wanted to acquire knowledge from Nammazhwar and for the benefit of the universe, requests very strongly to Perumal to give back Sri Nammazhwar. Perumal also gave back Nammzhwar to the astikas on this day. Archakas , by their recitation of slokas, demonstrated this event. As Perumal’s representation, Archakas, said “Thanthom,..Thanthom..Thanthom…”, means given back Sri Nammazhwar. It was a wonderful event to have darshan for the devotees.
