24 February 2022, Plava varusha, Masi-12, Thursday ;

Masi Brahmotsavam commenced in Sri Rukmini samedha Sri Parthasarathy Perumal temple at Tiruvellikeni on 20 February 2022, Sunday, Hastha nakshatram, in a very grand manner with thiruveedhi purappadu.

On Day-3, Very special vahanam in the morning, His all-time ready Garuda vahanam……

It is believed that Garudazhwar is ready at every moment as Perumal would rush to save His devotees at the very moment He is called for rescue. Such is the alertness of  active Garudazhwar, whose greatness can be seen directly even today in kalgarudar temple during the janma nakshatra utsavam, in which inside the temple premises, very few Sripada persons would carry Garudar, whereas, when vahanam proceeds to the mada streets, Sri pada kainkaryas would increase in multiples. Similarly, during his thirumbhukaal, the weight of Garudar would be decreased and persons would get reduced and finally four persons would be enough to carry Garudar inside the sannidhi. He is undoubtedly the best vahanam for Perumal among all.

In the morning, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal, gave darshan in  such a great, majestic Garudar with Mahalakshmi in His chest, looked wonderful along with thirukodai and Parayana Goshti, which looked like Bhoolokha Vaikuntam.

In the evening, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal came in procession and gave darshan to the devotees in Ekanthasevai and reached the temple premises. Later, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Paththi Ulathal took place and Perumal proceeded in purappadu in Oyyali before He reached vahana mandapam for alankaram.

At night, Perumal was seated on Hamsa Vahanam. Perumal adorned in White Silk garments, denotes purity, signifying that the devotees should be able to discriminate good ones and evils, like Hamsa pakshi which has the capacity to separate milk and water.

Everyday Perumal Sevai during Purappadu, in wonderful Sathupadi, along with Parayana goshti recitation and Nadhaswaram musical performance during the oyyali, keeps all the assembled devotees in an ecstatic state.
