AKKI HEBBALU- Sri Lakshmi Narasimha kshetram
This is 800 years old temple.This temple is situated at a distance of 15 km from Krishnarajapet taluk, in Mysore to krishnarajapet route, in Akki Hebbal village in Mandya ditrict, karnataka state. This temple was renovated by King from chola dynasty.
Moolavar deity is Sri Lakshmi Narasimha swami.
STHALA PURANAM:
During era of sages, Sage Gouthama, did penance for so many years in this place. He prayed to LordVishnu to fulfil his wish and after so many years of tapasya, Lord Maha Vishnu appeared before him and fulfilled sage’s desire.LordVishnu appeared as Lakshmi Narasimha in west direction.this temple is located on the banks of River Hemavathi, flowing from wet direction.
Narasimha Jayanthi is celebrated in a grand manner in this temple. Rathotsava is celebrated during the month of February every year.

Akkihebbalu is well connected by bus and trains to Mysore, Hassan, Mandya Bangalore and other cities. It is located 70 km from Mandya, 60 km from Mysore, 65 km from Hassan and 170 km from Bangalore.
