Annual Brahmotsavam commenced in a grand manner on 27th September 2022, which was awaited by the devotees across the world. The Mahotsavam commenced with ankurarpanam on 27th September evening, dwajarohanam which was conducted in a grand manner as always. Many Veda prabhandha Parayana Swami recited mantras during the inauguration.
On the first day evening, Perumal Sri Venkateshwara swami came in procession in a majestic Peddha Sesha vahanam with His consorts Sridevi, Bhoodevi Nachiyars. Sesha vahanam always had a priority over others. Sri Adhiseshan always prefers to serve Him in all means, which might be the reason of sesha vahanam being first vahanam. He served as Sri Lakshmana when Sri Ramavatar took place. He was Balarama who was born as His elder brother during Krishnavatara.
“சென்றால் குடையாம்,
இருந்தால் சிங்காசனமாம்,
நின்றால் மரவடியாம்,
நீள்கடலுள், – என்றும் புணையாம்!
மணிவிளக்காம்,
பூம்பட்டாம்,
புல்கும்அணையாம்,

On Second day morning, around 8a.m., Perumal gave darshan on five hooded chinna Sesha vahanam as Badri Narayanan in Yoga sitting posture. In the evening, Perumal gave darshan on Hamsa Vahanam adorned in white saree in Saraswathi thirukolam on Hamsa pakshi with posture of playing veena.
As Swami Desikan explains in Dayashatakam in the first sloka describing Tirumala as swami’s Daya which flows like a river of cane sugar which is being solidified as Tirumala mountain. Such is the greatness of Tirumala, which is an embodiment of Lord’s Daya(Mercy), which could be felt by the darshan everytime by all the devotees, which cannot be denied.
