As part of the ongoing Swami Desikan Purattasi Thiruvona Nakshatra Varashika Mahotsavam at Thoopul Sri Vilakkoli Perumal Sannidhi, today [October 7, 2013, Vijaya Varusha Purattasi 21am naal (Swathi)] is Day 4. In the evening, veedhi purappadu for Swami Desikan took place on Hamsa Vahanam. The purappadu was special today because while Swami Desikan passed Kanchi Gopuram, He had the direct kataksham of Perundevi Thayar and Devaperumal along with Ubhaya Nachiyars during their purappadu inside the Perumal Kovil.
Earlier in the morning today, Swami Desikan in Paravasudevan Thirukolam had purappadu on Thanga Pallakku. Several Sevarthies took part in the purappadu.
The 10-day utsavam is usually celebrated in a grand manner with Thirveedhi purappadu for Swami Desikan on different vahanams on all the days, both morning and evening.
