On 10 May 2014, Jaya varusha Chithirai Masam uthiram, Sri Kanakavalli nayika sametha Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Koil, Thiruvallur, during day 7 of Chithirai Brahmotsavam morning, Perumal Thiruveedhi Purappadu took place in Thiruther with a grand Arulicheyal Ghoshti and Veda Parayanam Ghoshti. Perumal proceeded to thiruther from the temple at 4:15 am to Thiruther and procession of thiruther took place at 7:15 am and reached back by 9 am. Then till 4:30 pm astikas went up to the ther for having the darshan of Veeraraghava perumal.After thiruther came to the place Mariyadhai for HH azhagiyasinghar took place and then maada veedi purappadu for them. Several astikas took part in the Purappadu and had the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
