As a part of ongoing Chithirai Brahmotsavam, Day 3(9th May, 2018; Chithirai- Sadayam) have been celebrated in Mylapore Sri Madhava Perumal Temple. Purappadu of Sri Madhava Perumal took place on Golden Garuda Vaahanam along with Sri Peiyazhwar on Hamsa Vaahanam. Peiyazhwar accompanied Perumal on this day which His masa thirunakshatram day (Sadayam). Sri Perumal had nice alangaram with flowers and scintillating jewels for purappadu.
Earlier on 7th may 2018(Chithirai -Thiruvonam), Chithirai Brahmotsavam commenced in a grand manner at the Temple. On day 2 (8th May) morning, Sri Madhava Perumal with His Consorts had thiruveethi purappadu on Suriya Prabhai Vahanam. For that procession, Sri Perumal adorned magenta colored vasthram, jewels and colorful anemone garlands and both the thayars wore pink with green bordered vasthram. Then for the evening procession Perumal had a lavish white with blue bordered vasthram, meanwhile, Thayars adorned auspicious yellow colored vasthram. The purappadu taken place on Chandra Prabhai Vahanam. Many devotees participated in the Utsavam and received the blessings of Divyadampathis. Grand satrumurai took place with Veda parayana ghosti.
