Let’s learn Dharmasastram-13
Today lets see certain facts about bathing.
Two nazhigal(ie 48 minutes) before sunrise one should take bath.
Bramacharis,Sanyasis need not do any sankalapam.
Bramachari-morning
Gruhasthan- morning, afternoon
Sanyasi- should take bath 3 times a day
Bathing in running water in the morning is considered auspicious
Bathing in still water is bad for health,Gayathri Japam etc should be said standing facing the sun.
while bathing in river one should take bath against the stream.
Should face north-east while bathing in night.
Before bathing should do sankalpam after that Japam for Varunan then only one should take bath. After reciting “Agamrakshan Suktham” ibe should bath again( Those who know please try -there are many such shastrams which all in this age quite tough to do..hence have not told about those..!)
to be contd..!
It will be very useful, if you can provide sankalapam every day , that too with start and end timings for the day. Like thithi, vara ,Nakahara. Also ekadasi and dwadesi timings.
