About the temple:
This temple is situated in the Gokarna Kshetra. It exists along with Paravasudevar Temple and in this kshetram. It is Udbhavam Moorthy. The moorthy of Narasimha is Facing West, because the Gokarna MahA Rishi did penance facing East. Because of Gokarna MahA Rishi this is known as Gokarna Kshetra. Hemavathi river is flowing near by. The Paravasudevar temple is a Vijaya Nagar period Temple. The main Festival is rathotsavam and also Narasimha Jayanthi. Almost everyday, the Lord has Thirumanjanam, people from far and near flock to see this moorthy. The statue is also gigantic it is 8 feet in height. The Temple Timings are Daily Morning 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and Evening 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
