The fifth-year Pavithrotsavam at Padmavathi Sametha Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple (Sri Venkatachalapathy Perumal Temple) at BHEL township in Trichy commenced on 23rd of July 2013. The six-day Pavithrotsavam will conclude on the 28th of July 2013. Many devotees around Trichy are participating in the Pavitrotsavam to receive the blessings of Padmavathi thayar and Srinivasa Perumal.
Today (July 26, 2013), was Day 3 of the utsavam. Today also being Aadi vellikizhamai, devotees were delighted to witness the purappadu for both Thayar and Perumal along with ubhaya nachiyars in the evening.
