On November 2, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Aippasi Chithirai, being Deepavali Thirunaal, Sri Sarangapani had purappadu at Sri Aaravamudhan Sannadhi, Thirukkudanthai, Kumbakonam. Significantly, today (November 3, 2013), being Aippasi Amavasai, the unique Shrardham was performed by Sri Aravamudhan to a parama Bhagavathar Sri Lakshminarayanan took place. Lakshminarayana Swami was a brahmachari Brahmin and was devoted to Lord Aravamudhan. It was he who built the Raja Gopuram. He was worried about his final rites as he was a brahmachari. Pleased with his devotion, the Lord himself is said to have performed the final rites. Thereafter, every year, on Aipasi Amavasai, the Lord is said to perform the Shradham for this Swami.
