On July 9, 2014; Jaya Varusha Aani Anusham, Theertham was taken in Golden and Silver pots from Vada Thirukaveri (Kollidam) for Aani Thirumanjanam at Sri Ranganathaswamy Divya Desam, Srirangam. The “Aani Tirumanjanam” also known as “Jyeshtabhishekam’ is grandly celebrated at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple every year in the month of Aani (June/July). On this occasion, the holy water brought in gold and silver pots from the Kaveri river is used for thirumanjanam. The festival signifies special ‘thirumanajam’ to the presiding deity Lord “Ranganathan”. As there is no water flow in river Kaveri, it was taken from small well like construction at Kollidam.
