Yesterday, 4th November 2014, Jaya Varusha Aippasi Uthirattadhi; thirunakshatram of Thiruthiraipoondi Andavan was celebrated at Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam, Srirangam. In the morning from 9.00 to 12.00 p.m, Sevakalam of Veda parayanam and arulicheyal. Lot of vedapatasala vidyarthies took part in the parayanam. Lot of Ashrama Sishyas and astikas took part in the utsavam and had the blessings of acharya.

He was born in the month of Aippasi with Uthirattadhi as his birth star and was named srinivasachar. He belonged to Eyunni vamsam and Bharadwaja gothram. He learnt sampradhaya granthas fromVazhuthur Andavan and became an erudite scholar and authentic exponent of Srivaishnava philosophy. He had prapatti done at the feet of almighty and was initiated into thureeyasraman by Vazhuthur Andavan and was named “, Srinivasa ramanuja Maha Desikan, one of the illustrious Acharyas of Srirangam Srimath Andavan PeriAsramam. Thirutthuraippoondi Andavan was also known as Vilakkudi andavan as he hailed from Vilakkudi, a small hamlet near Rajamannargudi .
