Sri Alarmelmanga nayika sametha Sri Srinivasa perumal sannidhi is a 700 year old temple located in Osur (once known as Brhammapuram), a small town near Vandavasi. The history dates back to Sathya yuga, when Lord Brahma did a penance and got the darshan of Sri Srinivasa perumal along with HIS divine consorts. Hence the village was termed as Brahmmapuram. It is also said that the famous Tamil king Sambuvaraya worshipped this temple and contributed lands for the temple functioning. Till late 1960s the utsavams like Vaikasi Brhammotsavam were celebrated for 10 days in grandeur. After the migration of Srivaishnavas from the village, there were no proper caretakers and the poojas were stopped completely. Now the people in the Osur Village have come forward to renovate the temple. Osur Sri Srinivasa perumal temple trust has been constituted to carry out the renovation work and balalayam was performed in December 2012. The increase in the cost of raw materials and lack of funds have hurt the renovation.
Hence we appeal to asthikas in this forum to come forward and contribute willingly for the restoration of the temple and help perform Samprokshanam at’s gods will.

முக்தி தரும் நகரேழில் முக்கியமாம் கச்சி பதியின் அருகில் பல மகான்களும் மன்னர்களும் போற்றிய, வந்தவாசிக்கு அருகாமையில் அமைந்துள்ள பிரம்மபுரம் என்னும் ஓசூர் ஸ்ரீக்ராமத்தில் அகலகில்லேன் இன்றையுமென்று அலர்மேல்மங்கை உறைமார்பனாக ஸ்ரீதேவி பூதேவி ஸமேதனாக ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீநிவாசப்பெருமாள் திருக்கோவில் கொண்டு அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். பிரம்மா தவம் செய்து பெருமாளை தரிசித்ததால் இந்த க்ஷேத்திரம் பிரம்மபுரம் என்னும் பெயர் பெற்றதாக ஸ்தல வரலாறு. மேற்படி சந்நிதியானது சுமார் 700 வருடங்கள் பழமையானதாகவும் புகழ்பெற்ற சம்புவரையர் மன்னர் திருப்பணி செய்து வழிபட்டதாகவும் செவிவழிச் செய்திகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. இதை உறுதிபடுத்தும் வகையில் கல்வெட்டு ஒன்று ஊருக்கு வெளியே காணப்படுகின்றது. இத்தகைய சிறப்புபெற்ற இச்சந்நிதியில் சுமார் 70 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு வரை பிரம்மோத்சவம் முதலானவை வெகு சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்று வந்திருக்கிறது. எனினும் காலப்போக்கில் அக்ரஹாரவாசிகள் பெருமளவில் நகரத்தை நோக்கி குடிபெயர்ந்ததால் போதிய பராமரிப்பின்றி கடந்து பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக நித்திய திருவாராதனமும் நின்று போய் மிகவும் சிதலமடைந்து இருந்தது. இந்நிலையில் இச்சன்னிதியை புனரமைத்து மீண்டும் பழையபடி உத்சவாதிகளும் நித்திய திருவாரதனமும் நடக்க ஊர் பெரியவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்று கூடி முடிவு செய்து அதற்காக ஓசூர் ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீநிவாச பெருமாள் கோவில் அறக்கட்டளையை தொடங்கி 2012 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் மாதம் பாலாலயம் நடைபெற்று தற்போது திருப்பணிகள் முழுவீச்சில் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றது. எனினும் நாளுக்கு நாள் அதிகரித்து வரும் விலைவாசி ஏற்றத்தால் போதிய நிதிஉதவி இல்லாமல் திருப்பணிகளை தொடர்வதில் சிரமம் ஏற்பட்டு வருகிறது. எனவே இந்த விண்ணப்பத்தை கண்ணுறும் அன்பர்கள் தங்களால் இயன்ற பொருளுதவியை இந்த கைங்கர்யத்திற்கு அளித்து ஸ்ரீ அலர்மேல்மங்கை சமேத ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீநிவாசப் பெருமாளின் க்ருபா கடாக்ஷதிற்கு பாத்திரராகும்படி பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
