On October 31, 2016 Annakoota Utsavam took place in grand manner at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple, Pullikkundram. This is a village located around 3 km from Thirukazhukundram, an ancient town in Kanchipuram District. Every year, Govardhana pooja is performed on the day next to Deepavali. The same pooja is celebrated as Annakoota Utsavam. This year, 27 sweets and 27 savories on the midst of Annam was prepared for amsai. Several devotees attended the Utsavam to get the blessings of Lakshmi Narayana Perumal and Govardhan darshan. Many devotees chanted mantras, slokas, sang bhajans and Devotional songs. After the thiruvaradhanam, prasadams were distributes to all the devotees.
About Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal temple
The Lakshmi Narayana temple was built between 1509 AD to 1529 AD during the reign of Krishnadevaraya wodeyar of Vijayanagar kingdom. Everything is well maintained and all the nithyakainkaryas are performed everyday.
The Lord Lakshmi Narayana showers his blessings on his worshipers, with every wealth, especially for married couples who are longing for the wealth of children.
