Oonjal Utsavam is being celebrated grandly at Sri Vaikuntanatha Perumal Temple Pushkar, Rajasthan. This utsavam is celebrated every year for 15 days in Aadi-Avanai month after the thirvaadipooram on the account of Shravan month. As the Shravan Month is considered as the most auspicious month so this utsavam is being celebrated. This year the utsavam is celebrated from July 31st, 2017. On each day of the utsavam, Sri Vaikunthanatha Perumal has different alankarams in Kannadi Arai like Vennai Thazhi Kannan ,Kalinga Narthanam, Murali Kannan,Gopikai Kannan,Sri Paramapathanathan and Ramar Pattabhishekam followed by Satrumurai and Sevakalam. Pushkar is one of the seven places where one is guaranteed Moksha (mukthi tharum nagar ezhil..)
Several devotees took part in the first two days of the Oonjal Utsavam, where Perumal Thayar gave Thalaivari Pinnal alankaram and Yashoda Krishnan.
