On October 1, 2017 (Hevilambi Purattasi Thiruvonam), the 750th Thirunakshatram of Swami Desikan was celebrated grandly at Sri Kothandaramaswamy Devasthanam, Perumudivakkam. The utsavam commenced on the previous day with vishesha thirumanjanam for Sri Hayagrivar and Swami Desikan in the morning at around 7 am. After thirumanjanam, Vedam and Prabhandam parayanam commenced. Thirupallandu, Thirupalliezhuchi, Thiruppavai. This was followed by Satrumurai and Thadiyaradhanam.
