ANNUAL BRAHMOTSAVAM OF SRI KALYANA VENKATESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE begins at Srinivasa Mangapuram on 01 March, 2013.`Dwajarohanam’ was performed in the temple of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati, signalling the commencement of the nine-day annual `Brahmotsavam’ on Friday. The sacred yellow cloth flag with the imprint of Sri Garudazhwar, the celestial carrier of Lord Maha Vishnu, was hoisted atop the golden flag post, `Dwajasthambham,’ situated inside the temple complex at the auspicious `mesha lagnam’ 9.45 a.m. amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic hymns by temple priests.
Earlier on 28 February 2013 Thursday evening, temple archaka swamis performed ” Mruthsangrahanam” as part of Ankurarpanam in connection with varshika brahmotsavam in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple. Later Sri Vishwaksenar was taken around in procession on Tiruchi around four mada streets.
Annual Brahmostvam will be celebrated for Ten days from 01 March, 2013 to 09 March, 2013.
