HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s Chathurmasya Sankalpam – Day 36 (Anugraha Bashanam Video Included)

Today August 26th, 2013; Vijaya Aavani Ashwini, is Day 36 of HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Maha Desikan’s Chathurmasya vratham. Abhigamanam, Theertham, SriSathari and Prasada (fruits, dadhiannam with lemon pickle) viniyogam happened right on time.(between 8.00 am – 8.45 am).   There was a group of Bhaghavathas from Villivallam seeking samashrayanam/ bharanyasam.

Yesterday, 25th of August 2013 Srimath Azhagiyasingar blessed the Tirumaligai of a shishya with “Ponnadi”.  Pon means gold and Adi is steps.  At the invitation of Shishyas Srimath Azhagiyasingar visits their house for Dolai or Ponnadi. This happens in the late afternoon after Ijyai and generally before Panaka Aradhanam. A house becomes a home when bhaghavathas visit them and purify the house. In the days of yore when Vaishvadevam was done in every household Sanyasis were allowed to take cooked prasadam from them as bhikshai. But that cannot happen any more. But they can come and purify with their presence. So the Sukruths on Utthara Veedhi had their Tirumaligai blessed by the coming of Srimadh Azhagiasingar that too during Chathurmasyam. The members of the family were dressed in their Sunday best, Kolams were made and all the offerings were kept ready before the arrival.

HH.Srimath Azhagiyasingar arrived at 4.00 pm.  As soon as the door of the Ahobila Muth vehicle opened the Tiruchinnams were sounded. Poorna kumbham was offered, and HH was welcomed with Harathi (tumeric and lime with water).  Ashrama kainkaryaparas, Sarathi of the vehicle and one Madapalli kainkaryapara accompanied HH. Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s chair covered with deerskin was kept ready by the Kainkaryaparas and once HH was seated the family members offered dandavath pranams followed by other invitees.  Everyone got Mantrakshatai.  Two children sang songs followed by others. Srimath Azhagiyasingar noticed a devotee with moustache and told him firmly that it was against our sampradhya. He said that it was the duty of parents to correct children. They had to do Nityakarmas regularly and then keep reminding their children to do so. Also women who are the actual upholders of dharma should insist and see to it that nityakarmas are done by their husbands and sons. Again women should not let their hair loose but tie it up properly. Although what He said would not be palatable the Truth had to be spoken.  Acharya sambavanai and kainkaryapara sambavanai was done.   After this, dried fruits and kesari prasadam was given to everyone. HH went into the Puja room of the hosts and gave His kataksham. After this everyone accompanied HH to the vehicle. Tamboolam was given to women and men and they went home with  happy memories of their Sowbhagyam.
