Thirupavithrotsavam is scheduled to take place from September 14 to 19, 2013 at Sri Ahobila Mutt Sri Balaji Mandir, Pune. Devotees in and around the area may make it convenient to participate in large numbers, contribute towards this utsavam and seek blessings of Sri Padmavathi Devi, Sri Balaji, Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar, Azhwars and Acharyas.
Thirupavitrotsavam is an annual festival consisting of purification rites (homams) performed as per the Agama Sastras. These homams are performed to please the Lord and seek forgiveness for deficiencies or shortcomings in day-to-day aradhanas and utsavams conducted during the year. Having darshan of the Divya Dampatis, purnaahutis and the yaagashaala during the utsavams bestows all auspiciousness upon devotees.
