The annual Pavithrotsavam at Sri Srinivasa Perumal, Perungalathur commenced today with Ankurarpanam. The Pavitrotsavam is conducted in a grand manner every year. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in the utsavam as in the past. The temple has hosted great acharyas like Ahobila Mutt Jeeyars, Srimath Andavan and Parakala Mutt Jeeyar. Astikas in and around the area may make it convenient to attend the utsavam.
