Vijaya varusha Thirunakshatra Utsavam of Srimath Adivan Sathakopa Yathindra Maha Desikan, the first pontiff of Sri Ahobila Mutt, is scheduled to be celebrated well at Sri Ahobila Mutt, situated at the Big Street, Thirukkudanthai. The Utsavam commences on October 1, 2013 and finishes with the Vidayatri Utsavam and Puspha Yagam on October 11, 2013.
On the auspicious day of Purattasi Kettai which falls on October 10, 2013, peria Thirumanjanam will be performed to Srimath Adivan Sathakopa Yathindra Maha Desikan at 7 am. Thereafter, Swami will be taken in procession to Sri Aravamudhan Sannidhi for the Mangalasasanam of Sri Aravamudhan and Sri Komalavalli Thayar. After the mangalasasanam, Swami will be taken in procession on the four Ratha Veedhis and after mangalasasanam of Sri Ramaswamy and Swami Ramanujar, the morning Utsavam concludes. In the evening, Peria Satrumurai will be performed after purappadu for Srimath Adivan Sathakopan in the four Ratha Veethis in Hamsa Vahanam. Astikas in and around the area may make it convenient to participate in the utsavam on all the days and get the blessings of the Acharyan.
