Today, October 7, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Purattasi Swathi, is Day 4 of Srimath Adivan Sathopa Yathindra Mahadesikan’s 634th Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam at Srirangam Sri Ahobila Mutt. At Sri Dasavatharan Sannidhi devotees from Chennai had Thirumanjanam done for all Dasavatharamurthis, Lakshmi Nrisimhar Moolavar and Utsavar, LakshmiNarayanar and Vishvaksenar. There was a music offering to the deities while alankaram was going on and it was a soothing treat for the ears. Theertham, SriSathari, manjal kaapu and prasada viniyogam (Ven Pongal and barfi) were over by 10 am.
At Sri Ahobila Mutt, the 4th day’s parayanam was done in the morning, at about 9 am. Swathi Thirumanjanam was done for Sri LakshmiNrisimhar, followed by Theertham, Sri Sathari and Prasada viniyogam (Sambar sadam and burfi). Periya Thirumozhi Parayanam has been completed as of today.
In continuation of Srimath Adivan Sathakopa Yathindra Mahadesika Vaibhavam, HH reached Azhwar Thirunagari and did Prathishtai of the divya mangala vigraham of Nammazhwar. Nammazhwar blessed Sathakopa Jeeyar with Hamsa Mudrai and all Srimath Azhagiyasingars sign as Sathakopa Sri. Such then is the link between Nammazhwar and SriMatham. In course of His Sancharam, Raja Mukundadevaraya who was at the point of losing his kingdom got it back by Adivan Sathakopa Jeeyar’s grace and became Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s disciple and offered, umbrella, chamarans, elephants, horses etc to Sri Matham. An ivory palanquin was gifted to The Mutt. This ivory palanquin is an heirloom for Sri Ahobila Mutt. Incourse of sancharam in Thirukundunthai, Srirangam and other divyadesams Adivan Sathakopa Jeeyar did Panchasamskarams and Bharanyasam to many and the shishya vargam grew every day and a strong foundation was laid for Sri Ahobila Mutt.
